Training Workshops

Parents, as well as members of the community, are invited to participate at judges or coaches for an expansion of the Computer Assisted Debate Program.  With 1500 middle school children in Atlanta’s housing communities, the need for widespread and energetic involvement is strong.  If you have had debate experience either in high school or college, you can become involved in the program by attending one of the Middle School tournaments.  The schedule for those tournaments, as well as their locations, is kept current on the Computer Assisted Debate Program Calendar of Events.

If you have no debate experience, but still have a desire to help the program, you can attend the summer debate workshop.  If that is not convenient for you, please contact Melissa Wade at mwade@emory.edu or 404-727-6194 to make other arrangements.
